Transportation Team 

We have daily needs (to and from work, school, doctor appointments, counseling), and weekly store runs.

 

Family Night Team
Family Night gives our residents the chance to enjoy meaningful time together. Volunteers can join us for cooking and sharing dinner, baking, playing games, doing crafts, or taking relaxing walks. These moments help create a sense of belonging and stability.

 

Dinner with Friends
Every Thursday, dinner begins at 5:30 PM, followed by Life Skills at 6:30 PM. Community members are invited to bring a meal and spend time with the ladies, enjoying conversation and connection around the table.

Life Skills

Volunteers may also choose to lead the Life Skills class from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Teaching a class allows you to pour into the young women through practical guidance, encouragement, and wisdom.

 

Education Team

Tutoring in basic math, reading, GED prep…etc.

Cleaning Team

To help with deep cleans every quarter or for special events

 

Special Events/Decorating Team

To help with seasonal decorating and events

 

Maintenance Team

Help with maintenance and yard work around the J127 campus

 

Work Groups

Plan a day to volunteer with your group

 

Teach “J” ladies to drive

Helping “J” ladies learn to drive – this would include help with parallel parking practice, driving practice, and possibly assisting with transportation to and from the driving test for a license 

 

Serve as a mentor

“Do life” with your young lady, spending time with her regularly
(2-4 hours per month on average)  ​J127 Ministry will provide in-depth training to ensure you feel confident and equipped for each of these notable volunteer roles.
